• Water deeply and less frequently as thorough watering encourages roots to grow deep, where the soil remains moist for longer.
• Plant a drought-tolerant indigenous garden which will flourish even under stressful drought conditions because it is able to adapt to irregular rainfall patterns.

• Don’t prune, fertilise or apply pesticides during a severe drought. This will add additional stress to plants.
